Old iMac, new life
ByThis is the older iMac (first generation of the intel chips?) that we had as a family area computer (that replaced an old Dell running Windows, which had died from a hard drive failure). The 146Gig drive had died and was replaced with a new Seagate 1Tb drive from tigerdirect, that was only $108.00 (they also had 1.5Tb drives for $148.00). While the system was being worked on, more memory was added to it and bring it up to 2Gigs of RAM. New hard drive and more memory.
